Pearce to take charge of England for Holland friendly
Former Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce is expected to take charge of England for their friendly against Holland.
The Daily Mail says Pearce is poised to step up from his U21 role and fill the void left by Fabio Capello's resignation, even if only an interim basis and with the soothing influence of FA technical director Sir Trevor Brooking at hand.
The pair are quite capable of navigating this fixture. Despite a stampede of England stars lamenting Capello's exit through the medium of Twitter, the Italian's departure will release tension, especially if John Terry is not fit enough to play against Holland.
