Former club skipper Stuart Pearce is set to become the new Nottingham Forest boss at the end of the season, BBC Radio 5 live reports. The Championship club wanted Pearce in position for the closing stages of this season, but it appears he will not take charge until the summer.
Pearce, a former England international, had initially turned down the job for family reasons.
On Wednesday, Pearce told Talksport: "I'm still chatting with Nottingham Forest. That will continue. That's the best I can say at the moment.
"It's a great club and one that's very close to my heart."
