Pearce says Villa move right choice for Delph

England U21 boss Stuart Pearce says the move from Leeds United to Aston Villa was the right one for Fabian Delph.

Pearce believes Delph will benefit greatly in the long term from being surrounded by Premier League quality players on a daily basis, after swapping League One Leeds for the Villans in the summer.

The coach said: “I think training with better players will certainly help him. I think playing under-21 matches for England will help him grow as a player.”

Agreed with your comment Injun.
Delph is wasting away.. what more can a player want than play week in week out..
training isn't liked by majority of players, and I know that Delph is actually frustrated
at Villa.

Ancient Chinese proverb 'wife always look beautiful on honeymoon'. Let's see how this one works out in a couple of years when Fab has hopefully done more than just warm the bench at Villa.
