England U21 coach Stuart Pearce says the Premiership's busy schedule will do Three Lions boss Fabio Capello no favours for next year's World Cup.

Pearce, who faced a similar situation with his England ­youngsters before the European Under-21 Championship finals this summer, said: "Fabio would probably need the entire year, in an ideal world, to prepare them.

"It's common sense, the more time you have together the ­better it's going to be."
