England U21 boss Stuart Pearce says Portsmouth's 37 year-old goalkeeper David James can play at the top for another EIGHT YEARS!

"I've not been surprised at all by the form of David James since he came to Portsmouth," said Pearce, who worked with James at Manchester City.

"He is playing outstandingly well at 37 years old.

"In fact, I honestly believe that he could go on to play until he is 45 if he wants to. I think he could play to that age comfortably - I'm not exaggerating.

"He's got less fat on him than kids half his age. I think he could easily play at the highest level until he's that age."
