England U21 boss Stuart Pearce is delighted with the form of Manchester United striker Fraizer Campbell in the European Championships.

Pearce said: "I feel his career will improve and improve.

"That might mean we meet again in the seniors some time. I think he is going in the right direction.

"He wants to learn and get better. Everything I ask of him as a coach he puts into practice on the pitch. And he's got an eye for a goal.

"The last season on loan at Tottenham maybe hasn't been as good for him.

"He'll decide where he will go and play his football. Regular football at his age will be crucial to get to the next stage."
