Team GB boss Stuart Pearce expects Chelsea striker Danny Sturridge to be clear for the Olympics.
Pearce expects Sturridge to join up with Team GB next week after his brush with viral meningitis.
The Chelsea striker, 22, has been recovering from the less severe strain of meningitis and missed the training camp in Spain.
But boss Pearce hopes he will train before next Friday's friendly with Brazil and added: "The game will showcase the standard of football in the Olympics."
