AC Milan striker Giampaolo Pazzini says they need to improve their defence.

Speaking after this weekend's 4-2 defeat at Roma, the summer signing from Inter has admitted that improvements need to be made in defence.

"It's a shame to finish the year like that," the Italian international commented. "We really didn't need a defeat right before Christmas…

"In general, we've conceded many goals and we need to improve. Conceding 14 goals from set-pieces is too much.

"Now we need to start again with the game against Siena."
