Roman Pavlyuchenko is determined to build on his goal scoring return for Tottenham on Saturday.
The 28-year-old was the hero of White Hart Lane on Saturday when coming off the bench to help Tottenham clinch a 3-1 win after going behind against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
"Sitting on the bench - it's hardly a pleasure, but I adjusted to the fact that if I get a chance I should use it," he told Russian newspaper Sport-Express. "I wanted to go out and score. And, thank God, I got 25 minutes to distinguish myself.
"It was very important because this season, as last year, didn't start in the best way. And now there is no one to blame but myself, so I had the desire to change something.
"I hope now to catch a wave, especially if I start the Carling Cup match against Arsenal."
