Pavlyuchenko could leave Tottenham for Sporting loan

Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is on the verge of a season-long switch to Sporting Lisbon, reports the Daily Mail.

The two clubs have agreed to split the striker's salary for the entire campaign and all that is now needed to seal the deal is the agreement of Pavlyuchenko himself, claims Portuguese newspaper Abola.

The Russia front-man, 28, has struggled to hold down a place in the first team at White Hart Lane, and finds himself below Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe in the pecking order.

Pavlyuchenko had only limited opportunities to impress for Tottenham last season, scoring ten goals in 24 appearances.

He joined the club from Spartak Moscow for £13.8million in September 2008.

Can't see him being loaned. What would spurs gain from that? His value will only decrease as he gets older and his contract runs down. Paying half his wages too?? Look like tribal has a portuguese rival for writing rubbish.

World Class?? Lay off the crack mate he is shit, he is the worst of all the spurs strikers and lazy with it. Can't head, can't control the ball, can't run, can't hold it up all he can do is strike it well now and again. If spurs could have got close to the £14m back for him he would have gone long time ago. World Class my arse, is that the same World Class the press like to tell the sheep the England players are???

Big mistake,crouch OUT!

Don't be ridiculous,he's the only world-class striker we've got.The rest are all overated garbage-sell them and get some real class in to play with Superpav.
