Pavlyuchenko adds to Tottenham injury woes

Roman Pavlyuchenko has added to Tottenham's injury woes.

During victory at Stoke City, the Russian international limped off in the first half with a hamstring strain.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp said: "He got injected at half-time and we will have to see what the scan says. We thought Defoe was okay until he had his scan but it was the end of him for a few weeks.

"We are so short of players it's unbelievable. The number of players we've got out injured or on loan we could pick a terrific team out of."

I agree about the non-impact injuries. Clearly the players are either not warming up properly or are doing something in training that is putting limbs under strain.

I bit of a stupid comment by Harry though. No other team seems to be placing so many players on loan. Yes, it reduces wages but business sense should not come before team performance. How much money, Mr Levy, will the club miss out on if Spurs don't get in to the Champions League?. Perhaps a return to reserve team football is the answer after all.

Either way though, all Spurs fans should be delighted to be in this position in March. The club have come so far since Ramos left. It just goes to show what can be produced with the right manager.

i only said that the other day m8 what s going on with the training and medicical stuff they also dont seem to know what have the injuries are after they been out fr ages ie lennon, woodgate etc somethink defo wrong their

Despite the injuries, we still managed a much deserved win at a very tricky away game at stoke with alot of 1st team players missing. at them moment i am not worried about the injuries as our bench players seem to be stepping up to the mark when called upon but we need the 1st team back for when we play the big guns which could define where we finish this season. COYS!
