Former Atletico Madrid forward Veljko Paunovic has been offered a contract by New York Red Bulls.

The Serbian has been on trial with the Red Bulls who are hoping to sign a competent goal scorer following a dismal performance so far this season.

"We made an offer, and he is thinking about it. That's that,'' said coach Juan Carlos Osorio.

"The ball is on his court. He is the one who has to make his decision.''

The 31-year old most recently played with FK Partizan in Sebia's Jelen Superliga.
