'Patient' Kewell has interest from English clubs

Harry Kewell continues to be linked with a number of English clubs as he looks to continue his extensive career.

The 33-year old Australian winger has returned to England after a season with A-League club Melbourne Victory and is attracting interest from the likes of Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough.

Kewell has revealed that there is interest but insists he will remain patient about his next move.

"I've got some positive feedback but, the way it stands, I've got to be patient," said Kewell who has no plans to retire.

"At the moment, things are - we are talking. And we just have to sort out a few things but I'm open to a lot of suggestions at the moment.

"Everyone has asked me, 'what are you doing' and all this and that and the thing is, when does an athlete ever realise it's time to pack it in?

"If they truly love a sport, they will keep going until, I don't know, they are 50 I suppose.

"I still feel confident. I still feel I've got another two or three years at a very high level and we just have to wait and see."

It has been suggested to tribalfootball.com from a source at Kewell's former club Liverpool that another of his old haunts, Leeds United, are showing interest.
