PSG ace Javier Pastore has welcomed new signing Thiago Silva from AC Milan.

The defender's teammate, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is also expected to follow him to PSG this week.

Ex-Palermo midfielder Pastore said: "Thiago Silva is an important signing for us.

"He'll be a massive help in defence and he'll be key for a team that wants to grow and achieve great things.

"Meanwhile, Lavezzi will integrate perfectly with us and he is someone that is able to make the difference.

"It's the same for Ibra. His arrival would be important. We already have a beautiful squad, but we'll be even happier if he arrives as well.

"We don't want to immediately be knocked out of the Champions League in the new season - we want to get as far as possible in that competition."
