Javier Pastore is delighted with his move to Palermo.

"Despite having just finished an intense season with Huracan, I would be ready to begin again right now. I would never want to stop playing football," he grinned in the Corriere dello Sport.

"I have been compared to Kaka because I am a creative midfielder who can play both behind the strikers and as a support forward, but the truth is my idol is Juan Roman Riquelme.

"I am happy to have settled in with some lovely people and great players like Miccoli, who I consider to be a champion.

"[Coach Walter] Zenga told me to relax and not push myself. I chose Palermo rather than other bigger clubs because I consider it the ideal place with a competitive project and young talents.

"I had a deal with Palermo for some time, but only signed the contract recently. I am ready right away, as my family can bring the necessary documentation with them when they all come to live with me in Palermo."
