Parma striker Hernan Crespo has ruled out returning to Argentina this summer.
River Plate are keen to sign the former Inter Milan and Chelsea striker.
But Crespo says: "I've always said that the day will come to play for River, I'll do it for free. But beyond the desire of Daniel (Passarella), my reality is now in Italy. I've lived here for many years and I intend to continue to do so. So it is very difficult to envisage being able to return to Argentina.
"The situation at Parma is very beautiful. There are very young players who need to grow up and need to be helped with my experience. The environment is ideal."
