Parma have completed the signing of Boca Juniors defender Gabriel Paletta.

Paletta may still be young, but he is already very experienced and has a one-year European stint at Liverpool in 2006-07 under his belt.

He can play several roles in defence and spent the last three seasons at Boca Juniors, albeit suffering a series of injuries.

Parma will reveal the details of the move on Wednesday, but did state he has signed "on a permanent basis."
