Parma have sacked coach Mimmo di Carlo.

Parma lost 2-1 to Sampdoria on Sunday at the Ennio Tardini and are only clear of the drop zone on goal difference.

The embattled club issued a statement on their website saying: "Parma Football Club would like to communicate that Coach Domenico Di Carlo has been relieved of his duties.

"We would like to thank him for his work which he has carried out with competence and seriousness."
