Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi admits they almost lost coach Roberto Donadoni and football chief Pietro Leonardi during the summer.

Donadoni was hired by Leonardi in January 2012.

"They both had offers," Ghirardi told Sky Sport Italia. "However, both decided to stay and that delighted me.

"Donadoni still has a year left to run on his contract and Leonardi has only recently extended his agreement with us.

"I'm happy that both decided to remain."
