Parma president Tomasso Ghirardi says a rift with Antonio Cassano has been healed.
Parma dropped Cassano this month amid talk of a move to Sampdoria.
"We have suffered and it gave me a lot of discomfort," Ghirardi commented on Radio Anch'Io Sport.
"We have given so much to him and he to us, someone has taken advantage of putting the idea in his head of reuniting him with his family, who live in Genoa.
"There were two weeks of confusion and I am sorry that someone has played with his feelings.
"Personally I never put him on the market and in this moment that was very difficult I took some phone calls to say he wasn't for sale.
"We have Antonio contracted for another two years, between us there is great sincerity.
"If he wants to have fun and be important at Parma then the doors are open, if he wants to do more than that then please tell me."
