Parma general manager Pietro Leonardi has apologised to supporters for a disappointing season.

Parma are safe from relegation, but have failed to meet expectations.

Leonardi said: "I take responsibility, as I always have done, and humbly apologise to the fans. After making our fans sweat so much this term, we will start work to ensure they won't go through the same thing next year.

"Our safety is thanks to a few different elements, including the calm brought to the club by Franco Colomba."
