Parma have denied reports that McDonald Mariga has a buyout clause in his contract.

Former Parma chief Andrea Berta claimed this week that Mariga's current deal carried a €10 million escape clause.

But last night, Parma said in a statement: "Parma FC denies the allegations that appeared in some newspapers in which McDonald Mariga would have a termination clause of 10 million.

"The Kenyan midfielder is in fact tied to the Gialloblu club until 2014 and in his contract there is no get-out clause."
