Parma demand Man City drop price for Bojinov

Parma want Manchester City to drop their asking price for Valeri Bojinov.

City want about £3.4million for the Bulgarian striker, 24, who has been plagued by injury during his time at Eastlands and scored eight goals in 29 games on loan at the Serie A side.

But Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi hopes a cheaper deal can be agreed as the striker's contract expires at the end of next season.

He said: "We have not found an agreement yet. City know they have a player who could potentially be worth more than what he is now.

"Valeri has arrived following a two-year spell where he did not play and thus he played this season without having two seasons in his legs. City have a player whose deal is about to expire and who wants to stay at Parma."
