Parma sports director Pietro Leonardi has welcomed their deal for Inter Milan midfielder Joel Obi.
Obi joins Parma on-loan.
Leonardi said: "We chose Obi on loan due to our excellent rapport with Inter. The lad has great potential, he just needs to prove it. We needed a player with his characteristics in midfield, but we only got Obi and Gargano near the end of the transfer session because these moves required patience.
"It was a difficult session, as we bought 40 players aged between 15 and 17, among the most interesting in Italy."
