Parma chief Pietro Leonardi admits Juventus midfielder Sebastian Giovinco fell into their lap.

The Tardini outfit bought a 50 per cent share in the player from Juventus over the summer after impressing on loan for the outfit in 2010-11.

“It’s absurd that no other clubs tried to take us on when we signed him in a co-ownership deal with Juventus,” Leonardi told Radio Mana Mana.

“As a director, I’m very attached to Sebastian. He is a great player and one who deserves to play on the biggest stages.”
