Hector Cuper has been sacked by Parma ahead of the weekend's final game of the season against Inter Milan.

Parma President Tommaso Ghirardi has lost faith in Cuper and doesn't feel that he is the man to deliver that result and confirmed last night that the former Inter boss won't get the chance to challenge his former side.

"We give our thanks to Cuper and his assistant Gustavo Siviero for the intense work that they undertook with competence and commitment," a statement reads.

"The squad will be put in the hands of Andrea Manzo, Parma's youth team Coach who will take charge of the game against Inter on May 18."
