Scott Parker has won great praise from Tottenham staff for his return from injury.

Parker's fine start to 2012 won him a game as England captain in February but he has been sidelined since Achilles surgery after Euro 2012.

His positive attitude amazed coaches at Spurs as he requested to play in youth games to build his fitness. Assistant boss Steffen Freund said: "It is Scott's attitude, not only in training. He knows he'll improve with games.

"It makes me proud that an England international plays with enjoyment with the under-21s to get back in the first team."
