Park, Hargreaves to force Man Utd to bring forward midfield signing plans

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson may bring forward plans to buy a new midfielder next month.

With Park Ji-sung leaving for the Asian Cup, Ferguson has concerns over filling the void left by the South Korean.

The Manchester Evening News says traditionally, it is unlikely that Fergie would make a hasty plunge into the transfer market in January just to cover the loss of a player for a month.

However, if Owen Hargreaves continues to breakdown with niggling injuries and the midfield department is hit badly over the next few weeks, then dossiers on Sunderland’s Jordan Henderson and Standard Liege’s Steven Defour will almost certainly be perused.

marin is a sure bet

MU needs to buy at least a couple more TOP CLASS CREATIVE ATTACKING PLAYERS. Period!

If Manutd continue with their recent investment approach which led to Nani, C.Ronaldo, Vida, Fletch, Park, Ando - then they should go for Ninis / Marin and push the Norweigian Magnus Eikrem - I think he is showing good signs!

In today's game its gonna be difficult to get a like-for-like replacement ala Scholes / Xavi etc. As good technical players Ninis & Marin would be great investments. I have high hopes from Eikrem and Cleverley too.
