Park dominates as Man Utd down MLS All-Stars

Park Ji-sung was named the Most Valuable Player as Manchester United defeated the MLS All-Stars on Wednesday night. The former South Korea captain dominated in midfield as the Red Devils won 4-0 at Red Bull Arena in New Jersey and was subsequently voted as the Man of the Match for the 2011 AT&T MLS All-Star game.

Park scored his side's second goal with a weaving run and thunderous finish on the stroke of half-time and was a constant threat with his customary hard work and effort.

The humble 30-year old said he was surprised to receive the award but was delighted to get it as his good pre-season form continues to roll on.

"I'm not sure, we had so many players who showed a great performance today," Park said. "We had four goals, so anyone deserved to get the trophy. But I'm happy I got it.

"I'm happy with my performance. This tour has to be to get ready for the next season, so I'm pretty happy with today."
