Park delighted to join Arsenal from Monaco

Park Chu-young has left French club AS Monaco to join Arsenal with a deal being finalised this afternoon.

The 26-year old South Korea captain has agreed personal terms with the Gunners after completing a medical with the deal being confirmed by Arsene Wenger.

"We are delighted to have signed Chu. He will add true quality to our attacking forces and will be a valuable addition to the squad,” the under-fire Frenchman said.

Park, who was set to join Lille before the Gunners swooped, said he is excited about the next phase in his football career.

“I am very honoured and I feel very happy to be at Arsenal. It is a dream to be here and I am really proud to be an Arsenal player. Now I just want to show how good I am and prove myself,” he said.

"In my opinion this is a great club, now I have to show what I can do on the pitch. I will do my best, I will never give up, I will show heart, I will give everything and I hope [the fans] will support me."

Hey mickey mouser LFC. Last time you won the league the internet didn t exist and you were probably little more than a stirring in some scouse burglar's loin. Since then all your great fans have done is murdered Juventus fans in Heysel and robbed your own while they were dying on the pitch at Hillsborough, and then attacked the ambulances that came to save them. Great club, super fans. But blame the Sun and the police, for a change.

i felt bad when man u win arsenal...am really not happy with my coach

Oh how the truth hurts...8-2 be an Arsenal fan right about now.
