Steve Parish's future is key to Josh Harris completing his takeover of Crystal Palace.
The Telegraph says the future role of Parish, Palace's co-chairman, is forming a key part of takeover talks that have left the American billionaire Harris poised to enter a period of due diligence on the south London club.
Harris is the owner of the New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia 76ers teams in the United States and it is understood that provisional agreement is nearing on a deal that would value the club at around £75 million.
Parish, though, will entertain a sale only if he feels that Harris can take Palace forward and is understood to want to continue his day-to-day running of the club.
