Crystal Palace chief Steve Parish admits they need to upgrade their squad this summer.
Parish watched Manchester United dominate Palace last Saturday at Wembley, and the co-owner says planning has begun and will continue in the next few weeks before pre-season starts in July.
"We'll have to try and get to the final again next year if we can," he told the Croydon Advertiser.
"We'll have to pick ourselves up. To lose hurts, but we'll have a summer and we have a lot of work to do.
"We will bounce back. We have to try and get better, hold on to the ball like United do and improve.
"We have to see what we can do to improve the squad. There is plenty of work, we'll go away and take some time.
"We'll start making plans and put plans in place. We have another 38 games to keep our status next year and it's going to be as tough as ever."
