Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is proud of himself!
Pardew is happy to have survived four years as manager of Newcastle.
"It's credit to the owner and also credit to me, because I've had to dig in a few times," he said with the Magpies up to ninth in the table.
"Sometimes his flag is up the pole, and sometimes it's mine. But I think we both knew that when we signed that long (eight year) contract, that there were going to be difficult days as well as good days for us both.
"It's very important to have a solid relationship with your chairman or owner, and I've always had that with Mike (Ashley).
"We've never had a destructive conversation since I've been here. I think that' s very helpful, because at other clubs I have had that."
