Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew says he's haunted by West Ham United's relegation.
When Pardew, 51, assumed control of West Ham 10 years ago, he took over a team that had been relegated with 42 points.
It remains the highest total any club has achieved only to suffer the drop. Pardew said: "Because of what happened to West Ham before I took over I'm never going to take my eye off the ball.
"Even if we beat Liverpool next week, we wouldn't be safe. We could finish 11th or we could end up relegated."
