Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew thanked chairman Steve Parish for his support after victory over Southampton.
The manager's team ended a run of six successive defeats that had put intense pressure on his position while earning their first clean sheet since August after two goals from Christian Benteke and another from James Tomkins.
Pardew said that the chairman had defended him this week and that he wanted to say thanks, adding that it was important for the club to win the game.
He added: "Of course I feel pressure and the pressure I have is because I want to be a success at this football club.
"The Swansea game really hurt me and we had to be on our mettle.
"But the process we put in place today came through for us. I would say that next week at Hull is even more important a game.
"We can't lose that, we must go there and get something."
