Pardew set to stay on as West Brom boss

Remarkably, Alan Pardew is set to keep his job at West Bromwich Albion for the time being.

Despite the club losing a seventh successive game, and Pardew practically asking the club's board to sack him during his post-match interviews, he is still in the job.

The reason why he is still in charge is because he would receive less compensation if he is sacked in the summer following relegation.

The club also feels that no one of stature is available to replace him at such short notice. And even if they were, it appears unlikely that West Brom can be saved from relegation given they are SEVEN points adrift of 19th placed Stoke City with eight games to go.

Pardew will eventually lose his job, and West Brom are probably going to have to adjust to life in the Championship for at least one season.
