Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is seeking their own version of Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.
Pardew is keen to attract similar value-for-money signings this summer.
"There are bargains out there," he told the Evening Chronicle.
"Look at Javier Hernandez at Manchester United, he was their player of the year. Six million pounds.
"You've got to be clever, and on the transfer front, I think we've got enough going on to suggest another Cheick could arrive.
"Hopefully it will because they're very, very rare, to get a player who can make that sort of impact in his first year."
