Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew intends to make an offer for Bayer Leverkusen striker Eren Derdiyok.
The Sunday Sun says he wants the club to relaunch their interest in Derdiyok in January.
"I wanted to go straight to a particular game to target someone who I think would be great for the football club. That's what I did," he said.
