Pardew plans to add to Newcastle coaching staff

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew plans to add a new coach to his staff.

The Evening Chronicle says Pardew will continue to lean heavily on Geordie assistant manager John Carver and first-team coach Steve Stone with the senior players.

The Newcastle boss previously had Sunderland-born former United midfielder Kevin Dillon on his staff at Reading and has respect for another ex-colleague in Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson.
