Pardew: Newcastle learned transfer lessons from past season

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew expects to be busy in January after last season's problems.

Pardew said that the Magpies had learned from mistakes of the past.

He said: "For us we must learn from our mistakes.

"We are bold enough to say that. We finished fifth and got it wrong in the transfer market that summer.

"We need to build.

"We have done very well in the transfer market.

"We are invested in our scouting system led by Graham Carr."
