Crystal Palace enjoyed a 4-0 friendly win over South Africa's SuperSport United earlier today.
First-half goals from Mile Jedinak, Lee Chung-yong, Jordon Mutch and Fraizer Campbell put their South African opponents to the sword as they eased to victory.
Patrick Bamford made his Crystal Palace debut as the Premier League side made light work of SuperSport United, booking their place in Sunday's Cape Town Cup final.
Speaking after his side's victory Pardew said: "We've got a couple of weeks to go to find our peak fitness.
"It was a tough game, especially in the second half. It was much more even.
"We ran out of energy a little bit towards the end, but in the first half we had lots of energy and exploited SuperSport.
"I enjoy coaching this side, though, because - obviously - they are close to my heart from my playing career. But also this group are fantastic.
"Remember we had no Zaha, Bolasie or Murray today, they were carrying slight knocks. So there is plenty of competition in our squad."
