Pardew hails Crystal Palace board for summer support

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew is delighted with the backing of the board this summer.

After landing a number of player targets, there have been big improvements at the club's training ground in Beckenham, including a new gym, canteen, office facilities and new pitches.

Pardew told the Croydon Advertiser: "I can't ask for any more from what the chairman has given me at this football club.

"He's given me everything he's got. The training ground has massively been improved – we're trying to build a strong Premier League club here.

"This club, although the first team has been a Premier League team, the rest of the club has very much been in the Championship and below.

"So we're trying to improve everything and we've had to do it from the top, down.

"That has probably not been ideal but that's probably been where our main source of revenue is, but we're getting there.

"I am very pleased with improvements of the squad and at the training ground, we have done a marvellous job – now myself and the team need to deliver."
