Pardew full of praise for Newcastle ace Ben Arfa after Bolton wonder goal

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew heaped praise on winger Hatem Ben Arfa for his outstanding performance in today's win over Bolton.

The Frenchman broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute with a stunning solo goal which saw him produce a marauding run from his side's defensive half before slotting past Adam Bogdan inside the area.

Although Pardew feels Ben Arfa's FA Cup goal against Blackburn Rovers earlier in the season was better, he suggests this one could put him right in the thoughts of France national team boss Laurent Blanc ahad of this summer's Euros.

"I think the goal at Blackburn was probably better, if I'm honest. But this one is going to be Premier League coverage," he told Sky Sports.

"He is going to get what he deserves for this goal, because, the last one, he did not get enough coverage for that goal.

"Hopefully it will edge the French manager to include him in the French squad, because he is desperate to get in that.

"He showed that today. Not just his goal, but his performance, his work-rate. It was fantastic."
