Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew fears international week will further delay his transfer plans.
Pardew will be without seven of his squad this week due to an untimely international friendly week.
But he said that transfer pursuits would continue despite the slow progress: "I don't mean for us.
"I'm talking about generally in the Premier League.
"When players are away on international duty it is difficult to do a transfer while they're at an international camp.
"I think there will be hardly any activity this week. All the managers will accept this is what they have this week and will go with the teams they have."
