Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is expecting a big performance against Stoke City this weekend.
Newcastle were down to 10 men but fought back at Crystal Palace on Wednesday to win 3-2 in the Capital One Cup third round thanks to Paul Dummett's extra-time header, and new boy Emmanuel Riviere also grabbed a brace.
"Our fans were terrific (at Palace)," said Pardew.
"They made a conscious effort to support the team. They didn't make a thing of me or my position, and I thank them for that. We rewarded them with a whole-hearted display.
"For our left back, who was playing at right back, to score a diving header in the middle of the box when you're down to 10 men shows we've got some lunacy in there as well. But that's good lunacy."
