Despite facing difficult games against Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal before the turn of the year after tomorrow's visit to Fulham, he is confident Newcastle will come good in the new year.
Pardew said: "The last two years have gone quickly. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. People don't understand how passionate this place is unless they live in the city or are manager of Newcastle United.
"We can play 10 minutes of good football and the fans think we are the world's best. It really gives me a buzz.
"But it has not been so enjoyable for a while. We have been badly hit by injuries and suspensions and our performances have suffered as a consequence.
"The last two months have been as difficult as I have ever known as a manager."
