Pardew: Cisse worthy of Newcastle No9
Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew says Papiss Demba Cisse is worthy of the No9 shirt.
Toon's new No 9 Cisse has already impressed on the training ground — in front of a small gathering of team-mates keen to see what the 26-year-old former Freiburg striker is all about.
Pardew added: "Even the players who weren't involved in training hung around and had a little nose, and I think he impressed one or two.
"There are certain shirts at clubs — at Liverpool it's seven, No 10 at Manchester United and Arsenal. Here, it's No 9.
"Cisse is going to have to wear it and I'm sure he'll do it justice."
