Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew stands by the club's decision to ban the local press from media conferences.
The Chronicle, Journal and Sunday Sun are all barred from asking questions after reporting on a protest march against Toon owner Mike Ashley.
When asked if the situation was getting ugly between the local papers, Pardew said today in his Press conference: "We have drafted them a letter which we think is correct.
"And that's it really.
"They have to respond to that."
