Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is expecting big things from Adam Armstrong.

The striker shone in the League Cup against Crystal Palace last week.

Pardew said: "He's going to be - we hope - a great talent for the club.

"He loves the football club and it showed in his performance.

"He gave absolutely everything, he could hardly move by the end."
