Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew admits his French foreign legion are flagging after their thrashing by Liverpool.
Frenchmen Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Mathieu Debuchy - who was red-carded yesterday - Moussa Sissoko and Yoan Gouffran were all signed in the January window and looked well off the pace at St James' Park.
Pardew said: "I was disappointed with some of the displays out there tonight. We got dragged down in a spiral of negativity. Some of the goals shouldn't have been conceded in the manner they were. We need to lift them for next week at West Ham. It's going to be a physical test."
